Wintergreen Basketball has taken on a whole new outlook this season. We have added a ten game traveling season to the program which includes cross town rivals Hamden Middle School and St. Rita’s. The players have grown to understand what being a sports role model means to our school. As coaches we emphasize the importance of team pride, commitment, and good sportsmanship. The program is open to all 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students who show an interest in basketball and are in good academic standings.

There is also a WIMS Cross Country Team that works in part with students from Hamden High School. Students run with High School students to train and begin to understand the training necessary to be on a high school team.
